ITINERARY:
DAY 1: MILAN, VERONA, CANAZEI, CORTINA D’AMPEZZO
Meet and greet on arrival and proceed to historical center of Milan and by motor coach will head to romantic Verona, City of Romeo and Juliet. There’ll be a walking tour of the town, including the main highlights of its historical center such as the old market square Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza Bra with Verona’s Arena, an intact Roman amphitheater still home of great opera events and concerts.
After lunch (not included), the tour will continue to Cortina D’Ampezzo, through the Val di Fiemme, Val di Fassa and Passo Pordoi (Pordoi Pass), passing by charming villages and breathtaking views and stopping for a short visit in Canazei, a beautiful tourist destination surrounded by the Dolomites.
You’ll spend the night in Cortina d’Ampezzo, enjoying the traditional Alpine atmosphere and warm hospitality of this worldwide famous ski resort, host of the 1956 Winter Olympics.
DAY 2: LAKE MISURINA, TRE CIME DI LAVAREDO, LAKE BRAIES, VAL PUSTERIA, VAL BADIA
After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll spend an entire day soaking up the natural beauty of this area. The tour starts in Lake Misurina, a beautiful lake surrounded by the Dolomites Alps, and beautiful views of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, (the three peaks of Lavaredo). You’ll continue on to Lake Braies, with unique turquoise blue waters set off by the deep colors of the forest surrounding it.The day will end by passing through the Val Pusteria and Val Badia, with rolling hills and little mountain villages, to Cortina d’Ampezzo where you will spend the overnight.
DAY 3: PASSO FALZAREGO, LAKE CAREZZA, MERANO, BOLZANO
You’ll leave the hotel after breakfast, and travel through several beautiful passes before reaching the town of Canazei. You will drive through the Falzarego Pass between Val di Fassa and Val Gardena where you will admire beautiful views on the Sassolungo and the lovely Lake Carezza with its postcard perfect scenery. You will arrive in the characteristic town of Merano, home of the famous Christmas Markets. Merano is well known also for its mild climate and thermal springs, and it has also a charming historical town center.
In the afternoon continue to city of Bolzano. Bolzano is the final destination of the day, where we’ll take a sightseeing tour of this northern city, including the gothic Duomo and the medieval city center. You’ll spend the night here.
DAY 4: BOLZANO, MERANO, TRENTO, MILAN
After breakfast, the tour continues on to the town of Trento and its Castle Del Buon Consiglio, dominating the town and symbol of the House of Habsburg. You’ll also stop at Santa Maria Maggiore Church and Geremia Palace. Free time for lunch and transfer to Milan for departure.
